Does it mean anything if a university emails you requesting missing materials?

My ED 2 school emailed me that my early decision form is missing, and to please submit it at my earliest convenience. I can’t help but get my hopes up seeing they’ve contacted me for these binding materials. Is it unreasonable to get excited; am I extrapolating?

What this means is that the person who was reviewing your file for completeness noticed you were missing one item and asked you to send it. The file probably won’t be evaluated until that is received. If they never get it you will just be moved to the RD pool.

It means you were missing required material.

Nothing more.
