If a school calls your house because you're missing something...

Does that mean they actually care that you finish everything you need? Lehigh called my house because I was missing my supplement... Might they be more interested in me because of this?

I'm guessing probably not, but who knows...

They (should) contact any applicant who is missing documentation, regardless of his/her chances.

agreed. from what i gather, they will not start looking at your app until it is complete.

Once colleges reach the time to do reviews to make decisions, they will contact applicants, via email, phone, or letter, who have applied but are missing something needed in the file. It means nothing as to whether you will be admitted except that you will be rejected for having an incomplete application if you do not send what is requested.

You paid a fee for them to evaluate your application. It would be wrong for them to not inform you that the file is incomplete. To assume that this courtesy from their office is an indication of greater interest would be straws grasping, I fear.
