does it REALLY matter what grad school you go to?

After coming to Berkeley, I'm not sure if I can get into USC or UCSF (which are top schools on my list). But if I go to UOP or Loma Linda or something, will it matter? in terms of getting jobs or experience or whatever? it seems like everyone goes to good schools from here like harvard and stanford and stuff OR they don't go at all and just finish after undergrad.

If there's hope, then I'll continue/start studying harder!

What subject?

All US medical schools are effectively elite, due to their high selectivity.

For law schools, it is generally thought that good lawyer jobs require doing well in a top-14 law school program.

If you want to be a professor and you’re a social science major, any of the top programs (not necessarily top schools) would be fine. When hiring, the department knows which programs are best, even if your school is “technically” second or third tier.

Professional degrees (e.g., MD/DO/JD/OD/PharmD/etc…) do not constitute graduate school.

Grad school is reserved for master’s programs and PhD programs.

university of arizona has an 80% acceptance rate to med school

Do you want to:

Master’s/PHD -> Academia/Become a professor? - Yeah
Master’s/PHD -> Self-fulfillment/more education? - nope
Master’s/PHD -> Get a job? - Probably not, but why are you going this route in first place?
Law School -> Lawyer? - Yep
Medical School -> Doctor? - Nope
Other Health Science Schools -> health science job? - Nope
MBA -> a job that can at least pay off the MBA? - Yeah

Pharm D (10 char)

PharmD is not graduate school.
