Does Johns Hopkins look at writing SAT?

Ok, so I have read on these boards that Johns Hopkins does look at writing scores. I have also read on other websites that they look at writing.

However, my friend recently went down to visit and went on a tour. There the tour guide said that Hopkins only looks at verbal/math. This is important to me because my writing was an 800 while my CR and math were only 700 each.

Lets get a definite answer here: Does JHU look at writing SAT score?

if the website says they do, then they dont completely throw the writing section away.

They consider the writing. And they consider the essay/english on the ACT as well. The writing may not be as valued as CR and Math (I’m in your position, 770 W vs 720 in CR, but luckily 780 M), but it still affects the decision.

Hope that helps :)
