An anecdote about application deadlines.

Because of timing, son sent test scores, transcripts, and rec letters to multiple schools, and completed applications to UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD.

After ED admit to Williams, he sent withdrawal letters to Berkeley, UCLA and UCSD. He never sent the other apps.

Pomona sent an e-mail stating (I'm paraphrasing) "we noticed you didn't finish your application. We would still welcome your application although it's a week and a half past deadline".

UC Berkeley later sent him a RD admit letter.

What to make of this?

I'd guess the LAC might care more about the applicant pool than "the letter of the law" about tardiness.

The large university might not notice.

I had the same problem - with a California school as well! Is anyone else on this thread talking about CMC, by chance? I sent everything except my supplementary materials on December 1st... do you think the fact that I sent my supp materials on the 3rd will disqualify me for scholarship consideration? I just didn't see my app as complete without sending them, so I took the risk. But it might screw me over, as I really WILL need a scholarship to go :-/

Edit: I read more of the thread... and I'm glad we're all in the same boat as far as CMC goes :-p Seaver Leaders Scholarship for the win!

I just got called down to guidance today.
They want my material a month in advance in order to send out the guidance recomondations/ school reports on time, but apparently they meant a month in SCHOOL days, and there are only about eight school days left until winter break.
I convinced them to still send out my transcript and everything but there seems to be a good chance that the letter of reccomondation will be late to at least one or two of my schools.
If everything else gets to them in time, will colleges hold guidance office issues against me?

What if you are a little under a month late? I totally screwed myself over by not starting applications until Thanksgiving break, and found I missed the deadline (Nov. 1st) for the University of Florida. I sent it in asap, but I'm wondering if it is even a possibility for me to get accepted.

Thanks,
