I turned in my uc app a minute late because I didn't know that uc application logged off after 30 minutes whether you're active or inactive. so when I clicked submit for essay, it logged off and my entire essay was gone. so I had to use an old essay and when I finished everything, I clicked submit at 12:01. I got an email saying that it was accepted. but will they revoke acceptance if they see the date?

This happened to me too. I just sent an email and asked if my application is considered as late submission :

I hope you both get in because my friend has a similar situation. She said she got a confirmation number and everything. But it was definitely late.

Okay, I’m worried now.

That’s your problem. I have never messed around at the final minutes of a deadline. I’m not sure if the universities are allowed to consider that, but it makes you look irresponsible IMO.

ooohhh how late did she submit it? at mixman?

@johnb45 I know! I’m so upset right now. More so because I might’ve just wasted $140 from my parents money! I really do hope they accept the application whether they reject me or not…

Always save your essays in Word before copy and pasting onto the app.

There’s being lazy, and then there’s being dumb. Trying to submit your application the minute before its due is just being dumb.

^Thank you for your insightful, intelligent, and helpful post.

Closing old thread.
