<p>One thing i think you need to know is what schools look at.
UCs look at weighted GPA (when they say averages)</p>
<p>Almost all other schools list average unweighted gpa, but course rigor is greatly considered.</p>
<p>A 4.0 student who took all easy classes during highschool (nothin weighted) will never get into harvard. A 3.8uw student who took a really tough schedule does have a chance.</p>
<p>The same goes for McGill.</p>
<p>Their site says the average incoming GPA unweighted is about 3.7</p>
<p>But, of course they look at weighted too, but schools arent looking at the number for weighted. They are looking at the UW and the rigor.</p>
<p>So to be competetive for McGill, if you have a rigorous schedule and decent grades, you should have a decent shot.</p>
