Hi, I just have few questions regarding McGill University admission process.

-What SAT score do they consider as good? (above 2000?)
-Do they concentrate on unweighted or weighted GPA?
-Do they even weigh in extracurriculars?

the higher the better; on the website they post minimums. they say that having the minimum does not guarantee entrance, but definetely aim for above 2000.

unweighted, although course rigor is said to be more important than actual grades.

no

thats pretty much it. mcgill admissions for US applicants is based completely on grades and test scores. test scores are most important, then course rigor, then grades. the end. essays are only involved if you are applying for a scholarship.

When it comes to school grades, will McGill look at the straight GPA, or will they analyze a high school transcript to see individual class grades? I ask because I have an isolated C here and there, even though my GPA is 3.7 right now? Also, my school doesn't officially weight GPAs- will McGill look at a weighted average anyway?

Given this, do you think there's any problem getting in for a student with a gpa of 3.8uw, bunches of AP and honors classes, over 2100 SATs, and two SAT subject tests over 700?

also - do they take into consideration your school? for example, im in the top 15% of a school that usually sends at least 10% to ivies, yet i dont quite have an a- average; but in the context of my school my gpa is still quite good..?
and i have a 32 act.. so do i have a shot?

i came froma very similar situation and i'm a U1 in the faculty of science. my school sent the top 15% to ivies, and i was in the top 20%. i think you hold a good shot.

of course, we aren't admission officers, and we can't make that call.
