Yesterday I received a notification from my dream school that some of my financial aid information was missing, and that they needed it to determine my financial aid package. Decisions from this college don't come out until Tuesday (03/31) online. Is this letter an indicator that I might have been accepted??

Barnard did that too and I ended up being accepted. So…
:)

UC Irvine did that to me, got rejected.

Was it Dartmouth by any chance?
That happened to me about a week ago as well (from D)… I’m rooting for ya!

I hate to break it to you, but it can actually suggest something quite different. If the school is need-aware then they’re just trying to find out how much money they would have to come up with for your FA package. If it’s too much for them to handle then they could reject you on that basis. My parents are convinced this is what happened with Oberlin. (I got the missing FA notification from them too) If the school is need blind then it could very well mean something better. :D

Dartmouth is need-blind! =)
I think all the ivies are…

i think it depends how late in the process the email came. For example, i got an email last mondayish from vanderbilt asking for my css(not my fault it wasn’t sent, idoc lists vanderbilt and charges you for them, but apparently they don’t use that service. Shady) anyway since i knew they were sending out the acceptances this week i kinda figured i got in and i did.

ive noticed that schools that have contacted me after i applied let me in, while those i never heard from rejceted me
so it might just mean it

Not necessarily. It’s just standard procedure for some colleges, regardless of whether or not the applicant has been accepted/rejected.

I got a call & letter from Dartmouth…and was accepted! I hope it’s a good sign for you!! Good luck. :]

I forgot to send in my parents’ schedules in my IDOC packet and the schools on my list were NU, JHU, and Brown. Only Brown contacted me for the forms, but I was accepted into NU and Brown.
