Does MIT look at the SAT Writing portion?

<p>I got an 800 on the SAT Writing, so I hope MIT does consider my writing score....</p>

<p>i know that you can submit it but i imagine that there are other components to your application packet that matter more (things that deal with math/science) but it is definitely a great accomplishment and will help your overall SAT score</p>

<p>most of the top 30 schools, excluding UChicago, Georgetown and maybe some others look at the writing portion, specially the essay score.</p>

<p>MIT has not looked at the writing score in the past, including this admissions cycle. They have not yet announced whether they will begin considering it next year.</p>
