I understand that Georgetown wants to see scores for all sittings of standardized exams such as subject tests and SATs, b/c they’re a part of the admissions process, but does this apply to AP exam scores too? From what I understand, they’re really just used for credits, so it would make sense to send in 4’s or 5’s since the others would be pointless or should I still send all AP exam scores just in case?
No. You don’t need to pay to have AP scores sent to colleges you are applying to. You self-report on the CommonApp. Once you enroll at a school, then you may need to have an official report sent to them if you intend to take advantage of any credit/course benefits.
@WhataProcess GU isn’t Commonapp, and there is a fee to sending scores to the colleges. I just don’t see a point in paying for the two of my five scores that aren’t going to be used, unless it is part of the admissions processed/required to be seen by the university
I don’t remember the app … you don’t even have to report AP scores, do you? Isn’t it optional?
@Youdon’tsay Not sure, at least I haven’t found a place where it explicitly states if it is or isn’t optional. I’m fine with sending my 4s and 5s in, but the others I don’t want to pay for unless I absolutely am required to
