Does one have to apply to take a 9th semester?

I'm a current third year, but I've planned out my classes, and I want to take a 9th semester to work it all in. I can graduate in the standard four years, but I want to stay a little longer regardless.

Does one have to apply to attend for a 9th semester, even if one has completed all degree requirements? On the other hand, if I plan so that I don't complete all degree requirements by the end of four years, can I stay on one more semester without having to do any special application?

130-Unit Maximum after Eight Semesters

If you stay in college more than eight semesters, you may not continue beyond the semester in which you complete more than 130 units.

(i think that as long as you are within 130 units in 8 semesters you should be able to just stay right? i think only if you have more than 130, you might have to file a petition to stay for a ninth-not positive though but i thought i would just give my 2 cents since theres no other replies to this thread yet)

oh and you are trying to double im assuming right?

Thanks for the link Waiting, I’m actually only ‘single’ majoring, but there are about 12 interesting, yet heavy duty, classes I want to take before I graduate. I only need 4 to finish the program, but I’m in no rush to leave.
