I go to an American-system school, has scored the necessary means to satisfy Oxford entry requirements (in APs and SATs) and is considering applying this fall. However, the UCAS application lacks a place to upload transcripts (or any school record equivalent), while Oxford’s US qualifications page makes no reference to high school GPA or transcript. With that in mind, does Oxford not factor in high school grades as a means of admission for American students, and if they do, how should I get my grades to Oxford?
It’s not something they consider as such. Your academic reference should mention anything important about your academic record, but they regard externally marked exams, like APs, as more reliable than your teacher’s grading which they understand varies from school to school.
I see from your other threads that you’re also doing IB - they may well make any offer conditional on hiw you do in those.
There is a place for the school to upload the transcript (not the student). Continuing assessment marks (which is what your grades are considered to be) are not a key factor for any students (UK or US).
Im taking IB without the Diploma, hence the need for APs and SATs, though I have understood the potential for an IB offer.
