Does Princeton Accept Outside Recommenders?

The professor at the lab I interned at over the summer is writing me a letter of rec. From what he mentioned, it will be pretty different from my teacher recommendations and offer new information that I think will be pretty helpful for my application. I noticed that the Princeton section on the Common App does not offer a section to assign outside recommenders.

The Princeton website itself mentions that outside recommendations are only useful if they say something different, which is true in my case. Any help?

What is it that you need help with? Knowing how to submit the additional recommendation? Gauging whether it is prudent to submit such a rec?

How do I submit the additional recommendation? I saw a reference to e-mailing it to the school in a past CC thread, but I’m not sure what information they need in that e-mail, or even what e-mail address it’s to. Thank you, by the way!

You can simply have the LoR mailed or faxed into the PTon admissions offices.

Thank you so much!
