I was wondering how to send Princeton an extra letter of recommendation outside of my counselor and 2 teachers. My mentor for some research I've done is a Princeton grad, and wants to send in a letter to show a different side of me. Would he just address the letter to the office of undergrad admissions and write that it's regarding me?

does anyone have an idea? :)

Hi Jane,

Have the teacher send it directly to Princeton admissions just like your mentor said. That’s what my son did.

thank you!

hi! I would have your mentor include some information so that the letter of recommendation can be tied to your application. The letter should include your Common App number, full name, school you attend, and birthdate.

Princeton admissions actually told me they didn’t go by the Common App number but just by name but it’s probably good to include all of the above info.

I think it’s best to be on the safe side and include all of the information I suggested, just in case someone else with your name is applying this year.
