Does Princeton prefer the SAT?

<a href="http://www.admissionsconsultants.com/college/princeton.asp%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissionsconsultants.com/college/princeton.asp</a></p>

Scroll down to Test Scores. It says:
"The SAT I is strongly preferred, but ACT scores are accepted."

yeah i guess...

then why do they say they'll take either on their website? why dont they just they prefer the SAT?

Always go with the official website, which states they accept both. The website you provided is obviously outdated.

It's kind of obvious that most colleges prefer the SAT to the ACT. The SAT is a longer established and, some would argue, a more difficult test. My opinion: there should be a single standard, not two different tests, to compare students nationally (and internationally).

i agree with argon.

ya i agree. and think about it, the SATs are more explicit and exact score-wise. ex wen an ACT score of 35 gets converted to an SAT scale, it's 1500-1560. its hard to tell exactly where it lies.

who cares? they are both two totally different tests, and if princeton says they allow both, they can't be biased towards someone who sends in the ACT -- it just cant work that way (I hope lol).

That would be like saying they prefer AP over IB or something.

I dn though ....
