Does reading CC make you even more stressed?

Yeah, sometimes, actually. I go to Russell County High in Alabama. The curriculum is not challenging AT ALL. I’m used to soo much more (I.e, Florida and Georgia curriculum, which is surprisingly better.) We don’t have any AP classes or an IB program. The best we have is honors, which I’m in. Everyone talks about their hardcore schedules on here and I feel left behind and scared that my college application won’t look as great as other people’s because of my school… :/

Don’t worry a lot about that. Colleges will know your school’s course level and know that you took the most rigorous classes available.

The title is great too. “More stressed.” Of course realizing that most people on here our extremely stressed-out, high-strung overachievers.

My family has a history of hypertension, if I had some of you people’s course schedules I’d be dead in a week. And I swear sometimes I must be the only person on here who chose extracurriculars because they were fun, not to impress colleges.

It gives me motivation, but I’m nowhere near as good as most of the people on here are academically speaking.

Anna, if you didn’t know this before, when you apply to college, your high school submits a report that basically explains the nature of the courses they offer. from that, a college will be able to see that you’ve taken the most challenging courses your school has to offer. don’t stress out about it! :)

Sometimes it worries me. Like, I hope some of these ppl loosen up before college. And if they don’t, they better not choose my school lol
