Does Rice Equivalent Credit count toward your GPA

<p>If I take a class at another college and get approval from the appropriate department advisor at Rice for the class to count as Rice Equivalent Credit, will my grade in that class show on my Rice transcript and count toward my Rice GPA? I know it wouldn't count toward my GPA if it were just TRAN credit, but I wasn't sure what would happen if it's Rice Equivalent Credit. Additionally, if it does show on my transcript, would it be listed under the name of the equivalent Rice class?</p>

<p>I believe it will be listed with the name of the equivalent course and a grade of TR. That’s how AP/IB credits appear when they are equivalent courses.</p>
