Hi guys.

I am applying for transfer admission to the University of Richmond and I am wondering if UR gives transfer credit for online courses. My current university only offers a world music course online, so I'm curious as to whether I'll get credit for it.

I need to know by Wednesday morning whether or not I should enroll in it.

Thanks.

According to the transfer site, you can call admissions and they will give you an estimated evaluation about whether a course will transfer. I don’t think the problem will be with it being online if it doesn’t transfer, but rather if there is an equivalent course at U of R.

@guineagirl96 Thank you! I emailed my regional admissions counselor a few weeks ago, but she never responded. Judging from your profile picture, you go to Richmond. If you don’t mind my asking, why did you choose UR?

Im an incoming freshman. I am a richmond artist scholar, which was a big reason I chose the school, in addition to my ability to pursue both math/cs and music, and the cafeteria.

@guineagirl96 l want to study finance, Arabic and Middle Eastern studies, but my current college only offers one (finance), so I’m hoping to transfer. What do you hope to do after graduation?

I want to go into cryptography/cryptanalysis which basically entails a masters in CS with a professor that works in that field.

That’s awesome! You could work for the NSA!

I’ve written my “Tell us about spiders.” essay at least 4 times. I’m trying to focus on one quality about Richmond that I really like, but I’m having trouble narrowing it down.
