I applied to Northeastern EA and am really nervous about my SAT score since I only got a 1390 (790 math, 600 reading). Since I’m applying engineering how much will that reading score affect me.
@futureengineer99 Most STEM majors have math scores that are higher than their reading. And 1390 is not a bad SAT score. The problem with having a reading score so much lower than math is that it causes your total sat score to take a big hit, and as I’m sure you know Engineering programs at top schools are very competitive, requiring the highest SAT scores to gain admittance. If you have A’s in AP English courses and corresponding 4’s or 5’s on those AP exams then maybe the schools will overlook the reading portion of your SAT.
