<p>I scored an 800 on the math SAT 1 and a 550 on reading... I am applying for engineering at every college that I apply to. Will the reading score turn them away even though I scored a perfect math score. Or should I take the test again? Although I have already taken it 3 times. ACT score was a 30 (33 M 33 S 29 E 25 R). I only took the ACT once. Should I take this again?</p>

<p>I'm worried that my reading score is holding me back from top colleges because I am not in the 25%-75% range.</p>

<p>P.S. My writing score was a 710</p>

<p>I would try the ACT again. Some colleges look askance at scores with more than three tries.</p>

<p>See if the colleges you’re applying too superscore the SAT. If they do, I’d say retake it.</p>
