<p>Does school choir, school band, orchestra, culinary art class count as extracurricular activities? Because we do not practice or perform out of school hours and those are elective classes and I need 7 units of elective. So does those count? I'm a sophomore and I didn't have any extracurricular activity. I need them for scholarships and college.</p>
<p>If they are things you only do as part of the class then no they are not ECs. If they are things for which you have practices and events outside of class then yes but it sounds like you do not do that.</p>
<p>“Extracurricular” means “outside of/in addition to the curriculum.” In other words…things you do outside of class. So if they are classes, they are not extracurricular by definition.</p>
