I am a senior and I am thinking about self-study AP Psychology since I am really interested in it more than any AP subject. Will colleges see on my college app that I am currently self-studying this course and will count it as an AP course I am taking?(such as it will add to the number of APs I am taking/took).

Please help!
Thanks!

I don’t think they will if you haven’t taken the test or have a set time in your school day when you study it (independent study). There’s nothing wrong with doing it for the credit/because it is interesting but if you haven’t done it yet (nor do you know how well you will do) then it is hardly something to brag about.

Not unless you list it with your senior-year courses, and I wouldn’t do that unless your high school is letting you get credit for it.
