Does T-Mobile work at Cornell??

I have T-Mobile and everybody says really bad things about the kind of service it delivers at Cornell. However, I checked the t-mobile coverage map and it said the signal is pretty good at cornell. Unfortunately, I'd have to pay a huge termination fee if i want to switch to at&t. Is t-mobile really as bad as everybody says?? Or can i keep my t-mobile service and manage?? One or two bars all the time isn't a big deal to me. I don't need excellent coverage, just consistent coverage so that I'm not walking around all the time searching for good/bad spots. Thanks for the help!

I had T mobile when I first moved to Ithaca and it was quite terrible. Almost everyone here uses Verizon so I eventually switched. Granted this was four years ago so the situation may have changed.

I have T-Mobile and it’s not that great. Yes, you can still make calls, but only if you’re outside or near a window (0-1 bar). While in buildings, you’ll have no service.

Basically, you can only use your phone to call others, but not to receive calls because you never know where you might be, and no one knows when you’re outside or something.

It’s pretty inconvenient with T-mobile, and I would switch if not for the termination fee. Apparently, if you get a smartphone, the wifi that’s ever present will also help with phone reception. So, that’s another option to look into.
