so i know that t-mobile sucks on north campus. but what about on west and central campus? i really dont want to bother switching carriers if i can help it.

it works good enough on central campus but literally as soon as you cross the thurston ave. bridge your service goes out...

on west it might work ok but will fade in and out depending where you're at...

i say it'd be good enough if u plan on spending most of your day on central campus, when you're in your dorm you can be called at your dorm phone :-d

just get verizon

does anyone know if t-mobile get decent reception in west campus dorms?

Is there a way to end the T-mobile contract without a penalty?
I signed a two year contract in February, before I knew I would be going to Cornell. : (

the only way to end the contract is to use it where T-mobile doesn't really work where they have to use another company's towers. Then, they'll actually "cancel you." I would know by experience, stupid T-mobile! So since they "work" at Cornell, then I guess you would have to pay to cancel it.

is there a way to hack verizon towers to work on tmobile?

I don't think so. They work on entirely different wireless technologies. T mobile is GSM while Verizion is CDMA

T-mobile sucks at Cornell! T-mobile service doesn't discriminate between North and West...you will be miserable with it, like i was one summer!
If you have a contract with t-mobile i would recommend that you exchange your phone with someone else in your family!

Slowly start complaining. Build up the complaints. Go apecrap one day and ask them to cancel it and tell them you won't do it. Their coverage maps lies. This and that.

im in a tmoblie plan and they don't let you change anything about it without extending your service. Im stuck with them till MaY 09, and I was just thinking I'd get a Verizon pre-paid and use both.

Yeah their coverage map lies for real!!
