Does Tech require high school students to take pre-calc or calculus?

Are we talking about Virginia Tech or Georgia Tech or…?

oooppsss, sorry!
I am talking about Georgia Tech :)

Ah, unfortunately I don’t know anything about Georgia Tech so I can’t help you there. But regardless of whether or not they require precalculus or calculus, you should definitely take them, especially if you’re going into a STEM field.

Alright, thank you!

They require “Algebra I and II, geometry and a fourth year of
advanced math or equivalent courses.”

What does it mean by “a fourth year of advanced math or equivalent courses”?
Pre-Calc? Calculus?

Click the hyperlink and look on page 6. My impression is that something like statistics would also be okay.

How about if I take only until Pre-Calc? Would that be okay to GT?

Pre-calc would meet the requirements. Not many colleges actually require calculus, but it’s recommended.
