From the other thread, I knew some intls got their acceptance via email already. Since I haven't received anything, does that mean a rejection?

No, it just means they haven't emailed you yet. :)

honeysuckle..I'm in the same boat! We'll just have to wait I guess.

Same here! Same here!

Same here as well! Would someone care to email? I wouldn't know what to say :p

Meh, I am in the same yacht (boats are lame). I live out in Venezuela, and haven't received my acceptance or rejection.

Ok....I got my rejection email yesterday! Yes...an earlier acceptance email not arriving, means tht you have not been granted a place in Vassar!

Ugh... okay... :(

Sorry Astrix...but u got into Northwestern right??

noooo. i didnt. i was telling someone to go there instead of UTA :p heh. no probs, tho.

Sorry....my bad.....Shud have looked into the thread properly before posting!:p

Im international.. and I have still not received any email from them.. :(

Great...haha..no e-mail from them yet. So, I guess I'm rejected.
But why does normal mail take so long to come??

I got my rejection letter through normal mail today!(I live in Nepal)

In between, I had emailed the admission office inquiring about my decision....so they had sent the rejection thru email. If u are in a hurry to read your rejection then it's better to ask them of it ,as I did!

I AM SORRY FOR ALL OF US!

astrix-
Sorry to hear the disappointing news. I didn't know you were so passionate about my alma mater!I am sure you will hear other great, exciting news. Hang in there.

I think I will just wait for my rejection letter.. :(

Finally got the dreaded letter!....waitlisted..oh well.

i got a letter saying that my application failed to be processed because of "missing documents". i was furious. i had everything complete. although i did receive a notification in early february that my SAT scores hadn't then arrived, i told them that they should be there soon, which they were, confirmed by the other colleges to which i sent my scores. Now, i have sent them a letter stating that it wasn't my fault. i also sent along the SAT score sent confirmation report. do u think there's still hope for me. after all, it wasn't my fault. the blame either lies with collegeboard or vassar itself.

Arseus-
I feel really badly for you, but I am pretty sure all schools will tell you that it is your responsibility to follow up to be sure that all materials have been received. I am not sure if SAT/Collegeboard sends scores electronically or via snail mail (I know they used to do the latter, but I would think in this day and age they would do the former), but when VC sent you notification that the score was missing, it would have been a good idea to check back, especially if you are saying that the other schools did tell you they got your scores. Weird stuff happens, and unfortunatley you can't assume anything these days. A lot of students enclosed a self addressed postcard with their application for the school to send back when all materials are received.

It wouldn't hurt to call and politely ask if there is any way your application can be reconsidered with your SAT scores. Maybe they'll put you on the waiting list. At least you have other good schools to choose from.

that is the problem. i got rejected from everywhere! i am in a state of hysteria right now. i applied to these competitive colleges so that i could qualify for need-based aid. now i have no hope of coming to the US to pursue my interests as i can't afford it.

i had sent them my SAT scores long before they sent me a notification. i told them that and i received no further notifications. they should have sent me at least once more. they don't even have an application status check so that i could see it there. along with m plea, i sent them the score report sent confirmation by the collegeboard to verify my claim. now its upto them. this is sooooo depressing!!!

p.s. could you reccomend me any school which offers generous aid
to internationals.
