Does the roommate essay have to be about an "experience"?

I have a habit on randomly exploring things on a whim. Sometimes, for example, I might stop and look at something (like a bird) for a really long time, or, when I was much younger, I once stayed up the whole night just to see the sun rise (now I can no longer afford such a loss of sleep!). But basically, I would want my future roommates to not be alarmed or think I'm having some type of problem when that whim seizes me.

That I have to write about an experience, rather than many, makes this habit difficult to exemplify. I don't think I could write that much about looking at an ant hill for half an hour.
