Does this fit in the "additional information" section?

<p>Hey Everyone-</p>

<p>I have been involved in a start up company over the last two years and I want to showcase it in my application.. How can I include it in my additional information section?</p>

<p>I have several options.</p>

<p>I have images of our product I could put in there, i have our business plan, pictures of our team, mock news article, our website, etc. Are any of these possible to be input in the additional information section? </p>

<p>This would fit more under the activities section to be honest. Additional information is more related to sickness in a semester, gaps in education, etc. Things of that nature.</p>

<p>Thanks for your thoughts. The only thing is that the activity section is so short, just 150 words. I feel like something that’s such a big part of my life / resume should be better showcased.</p>

<p>I meant under the Activities section of the CommonApp. There you can selected Other Club/Activity and write how you have been involved in starting company X.</p>

<p>Then under additional information you can attach or write a resume of your activities. Basically, you expand on them. It would look something like this:

International Diplomats Engaged in America (IDEA); 9th-12th grade; 4 hours per week; 42 weeks per year; This school club promotes dialogue about domestic issues from an international perspective. Members meet weekly at lunch to discuss issues and to plan monthly school-wide forums; I was Treasurer junior year and am Vice- President this year; I received the Benjamin Franklin Award (for the most-outstanding diplomat) during my junior year at the IDEA Conference.</p>

<p>Sister’s Caretaker; 9th-12th grade (total of 6 years); 20 hours per week; 52 weeks per year; I pick up my sister from school every day and care for her until my mother returns from work in the late evening. I also shuttle my sister to and from activities on many Saturdays and Sundays because my mother often works weekends.</p>

<p>Fencing; 11th-12th grade; 12 hours per week; 26 weeks per year; I fence through a regional youth organization because my high school does not have a fencing team. My team, the “Burmingham Blades”, practices twice per week and competes once per month.</p>

<p>Research Internship at Red Brick University; 10th grade; 10 hours per week; 42 weeks per year; I was one of two students from my school district selected to participate in a one-year research internship at Red Brick University. I worked alongside Professor Robert Little from the department of Earth Sciences to study hybrid plant species.
Please note that I have provided an abstract of the project in the optional Short Answer section.</p>

<p>I have received other awards/honors including:
National Merit Semi-Finalist (12th grade)
Preparation High School History Student of the Year (10th-11th grade)

I took the template from USC. I think it expands and provides a general overview of the activity in concise terms.</p>
