Does this go on applications?

<p>So basically I was in a traffic accident. It wasn't exactly minor (truck hit my car at like 40 mph), but luckily nobody was seriously hurt. In hindsight, the fault may have been my own and I may be given a fine for a traffic violation. I was wondering if I need to mention this if an apps ask for like legal issues and if I get a chance to explain it. NOTE: I was not DUI or under the influence of anything. I just made a mistake.</p>
