I dont understand why but I dont do exceptionally well on tests. My performance in class and on general assignments are great but on tests, I just don't know. The grades aren't horrific nor do they reflect who I am. Basically, they contradict my initial intellegence. Yeha, it's weird but I don't really get it. I don't know if it's becuase I kind of laze off, or that I find the material boring; I'm not sure. Do you personally find this type of thing happening to you?

I can’t think quite as well under pressure, but I still do well on tests, mostly because I always flip out the day before a test and assume it’s going to be way harder than it’s actually going to be. I over-study, I guess, and it sort of makes up for the anxiety.

What do you mean by “general assignments”? If it’s just busywork, it’s likely that the tests are just harder than the other assignments.

General assignments… weird way to say that. I meant assignments such as homework. Not necessarily, the tests aren’t hard it’s just that… ugh, i’m just frivolous when it comes to an easy question. You could more or less say that I dont actually “care” about the question, becuase of it’s difficulty. Ya see?

Not exactly. Do you just skip easy questions entirely or something?

Yeah, or if it’s a question im not entirely sure about then i’ll skip it. Though, it’s a question i’m able to solve.

How can you know how to solve a problem and still not be entirely sure about it?

It’s something i’m really bad at. i’m a diffident person… I tend to doubt things no matter how “correct” the answer may be. I guess that’s it.

It’s just really frustrating for me because I can study my butt off but the best I manage is a B. I always get some stupid questions wrong, and it’s always enough to drag me down to a B or a B+.
And while the grade itself isn’t terrible, it’s really aggravating when I’m SO CLOSE on every test and I’m just overlooking the dumb things

You’re JUST like me. Everything you just said, exemplifies exactly what I was trying to say. That’s what it’s like for me.

I think it helps to do the easier stuff first, if you don’t already. And for some reason it helps me to do the test in a completely random order and put a check mark at the bottom of each page when I’m done with it. And write something down for everything so there’s a chance at partial credit.

Only the first few weeks of school. Once I get accustomed to the new year, I’m riding the A train.

You should watch me take AP Physics tests. Answer 1, skip 3, answer 2, skip 7, back to the top and repeat. Get the easy points and then try to get the tougher ones.

@Hal
That’s a great method. Thanks for the tip; I’ll definitely utilize that in the long run XD

@Repede
I’ll try that too. Lol physics… The name itself is intimidating XD

This is me in English II every day.

The subjectivity in English II annoys the crap out of me. Also, the teacher is horrible so…

Tell me about it. Everything relating to the English language p**ses me off.

“Oh, this answer is right, but this one is more right” MY ASS!

Lolz… Mah grades are messed up -_-
