Does this mean anything?

Thanks!
I’m sure she will get in  …Wish her luck from my end.
Yes, competition is pretty intense…
But I’m sure you people will see a bunch load of acceptances… :)

All the Best!

Accepted to Bates
Waitlisted at Colby
Rejected by Bowdoin

Congratulations on the acceptance… Bates is a great college! It is currently my first priority out of the colleges I have been accepted to… Just counting days to the 29th ~ to know all the decisions, Im sure everything will be clear by then…

Received a similar email last week, with this addition in the first paragraph:

I admittedly missed the email and RSVP’d a day late. Received my e-ticket a few hours ago and just got my waitlist letter a couple minutes ago, so I don’t think the letter/email has any bearing on admission. (Although why Bates would choose to pay for my flight/stay if they were going to waitlist me is puzzling…) Oh well! The tickets are non-refundable, so I guess I will be enjoying a highly intellectually-stimulating weekend at Mount David Summit! XD

If anyone’s curious (or for future reference), some quick stats: 2250 SAT, 33 ACT, 770MathII 750Lit 720BioE, ~3.7UW, NM Commended, More significant ECs include: Concertmaster in school+pit orchestra/quartet, Quiz Bowl, playing in Carnegie hall (violin), Lit Mag editor, etc.

Accepted: Grinnell, Macalester, Oberlin, Carleton, Hamilton, Colgate, Colby, PSU
WL’d: Bates, Haverford, WashU

Good luck to everyone and congrats to those who got in! :)

@mehta93 - WOW!!! CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN!  You should notice it by now that I was the one who congratulated you first! Hahaha  That email meant everything. SUPER HAPPY FOR YOU!!! PARTYYYYY!!!

I am sure I am either waitlisted or rejected now :stuck_out_tongue: By the way, if the letter was marked 23rd march then I should wait for one more day with full optimism! hehe  Since the last acceptance that I got was marked 17th and I got on 21st. I am from east india infact torn between east and north!! You are from south india! Right???

@comeonups : CONGRATULATIONS

Yeah, I have been accepted by two seven sisters (I am a feminist) :stuck_out_tongue: MoHO & Bryn Mawr + SLC. Waitlisted at Wellesley and Bowdoin (got email today). Bowdoin’s acceptance rate is very low for this year. It’s just 16%. Waiting for Barnard & several others. I have not applied anywhere in my country so going to end up in your awesome land anyway :)

Please pray for me to get into Bates!! :D

AND CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN!!! CELEBRATE ! :D

@Inkmuse - Never mind  You have already been accepted at many places  But enjoy the opportunity that came to you with the wait list letter! :)

@Pripan–Thanks, I intend to! Good luck with your college admissions process! Hope you get better news than I did. XD
