does this work as a textbook?

I have Fundamentals of Physics by Halleiday and Resnic etc.

It's a few years old, my friend's brother gave it to me. Does it work all right for Physics B? I'm not self studying, just trying to read through the curriculum and get a general feel for the concepts.

Thanks in advance!

is it the halliday/resnick/walker text?

if so, that textbook is for calculus-based physics. i.e., Physics C. (Physics B is algebra based). You need to be at least concurrently taking calculus to do well

Yeah, it is. It has lightening on the cover.

I know some Calc, but I won’t be taking a formal course on calculus until junior year. I am sort of teaching myself through Calculus made easy, which is a really good book, but probably not enough.

I’ll go search for an appropriate physics b text then!

Thank you! :)

Physics by Giancoli should be good enough for physics b
