I’m currently a high school senior who has been admitted to UCD. The first semester of high school, I received a weighted 3.8 GPA, but my unweighted GPA is 3.0 (probably will be the same outcome for the second semester as well). I wanted to know which GPA Davis will take into account. Also, does UC Davis look at the GPA on for senior year or all throughout high school?
In the past years, UCD required a 3.0 weighted GPA for Senior year and no D’s or F’s. UCD admitted you based on your UC GPA 10-11th grades, but they also look at your Freshman grades and Senior grades to make sure you meet all the a-g course requirements. Basically 10-11th grades gets you in and 12th grades keep you in.
Your provisional admission contract should spell out your requirements to maintain your admission.
@Gumbymom Thanks. I’m not sure if you know the answer to this question but I was wondering if I should be worried about being rescinded from UCD. This year, I’m taking one regular, three honors, and an AP Calculus AB class, respectively earning an A, three B’s, and a C-. I’ve always been an A & B student, but this year I’ve been taking more rigorous classes. Will these grades (likely to be my final grades) put me in jeopardy for being rescinded?
As long as that C- doesn’t turn into a D, then you should be fine.
