Does UMich break down acceptance rate by college?

specifically the seven academic programs that accept first year applicants - LSA, engineering, architecture, art and design, kinesiology, music theatre dance, and nursing

really would like to know if there are any numbers on acceptance rate for kinesiology? if not, does anyone know if it’s more or less competitive than overall average admit rate. Would think it’s easier as applicant would have to demonstrate true passion and background to be committing to field

No, UMich doesn’t break down acceptance rate by college. As far as I know, just the CoE publishes an acceptance rate, but it’s for freshman entering in the Fall 2021: 18%

However, I’ll bet that the acceptance rate for all UMich colleges decreased during this past cycle, but UMich hasn’t published those stats yet. And my “gut feel” is that the acceptance rate to Kinesiology is lower than the CoE’s rate. Much smaller college and some of the Kinesiology enrollment is reserved for recruited athletes.

Also, during this past cycle, we had a lot of parents and students who sought to be admitted to Kinesiology, moreso than I can ever remember here on CC. You may want to revisit the 2026 thread by searching this forum with the keyword “Kinesiology.” Their posts may be helpful to you.
