Does USC mail freshman decision letters third week of March?

<p>It says April 1 on the official website but then I heard decisions came out earlier last year (March 20ish)</p>

<p>Just looked at my older D’s acceptance letter from last year and the date on it was March 12th. I believe it came a few days later well before the 22nd.</p>

What year? IIRC 2010 was the last year they did it in waves, so they decided to do it all together on the 22nd.</p>

<p>Based on italmom’s post history, her daughter received her acceptance packet on March 15, 2010.</p>

<p>Everyone from last year posted that the postmark date was March 22, 2011.</p>

<p>Well I’m a bit skeptical about this considering I haven’t yet received my scholarship status letter (postmarked Jan. 26th) and had to contact them to find out where I stand…</p>

<p>We were at USC last year for a tour on March 25 (2011) and some letters were being sent that day. I know because one student on tour applied for Fall 2011 and they told him they were mailing them that day. They took him to the office so he could find out if admitted or not.</p>

<p>I’m sure some were sent out earlier, as others have posted. I’m just relaying what we were told when there on March 25. Some were mailed that day.</p>

<p>We asked an admission counselor 2 weeks ago and his exact words were “we have had a big increase in apps this year, most likely due to the common app, and we are planning on having all admission decisions out the last week of March.”</p>

<p>On an admissions list of important dates it was stated students would be notified BY April 2, 2012. April 1, 2012 is on a Sunday this year. From previous years the date is usually notification by April 1st, except if it falls on a Sunday.</p>

<p>Be sure to notify the admissions office if you have moved during the admissions cycle.</p>
