should we expect letters in the mail this week!?

everything i'm reading says something different. Were any letters mailed out on friday? should some people expect them this week?

Someone was saying that it’s supposed to be 3/8 not friday. in that case, it would be mailed tomorrow.

Are you expecting something soon? Do you mind sharing what your status is on the USC connect website?

Everything everyone is saying is speculation + guessing dates based on what dates letters were received last year.

It’s not a precise date or anything, but I’m guessing they’ll start coming out sometime around mid-march

has anyone’s status changed that would indicate that letters are being mailed? For example, I think I saw that in the first wave people had statuses that said a decision had been acted upon or something like that.

AHH, my status changed! some time in the past week, but it definitely never used to be “Your application has been forwarded for committee review.” that could mean decision time is close, right?!

noo no i’m not indicating anything. I just remember reading that a batch might be mailed either last friday or this monday, so i’m wondering if anyone has insight on that.

mine still says:
Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)
We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.

has anyone who sent there midyear grades after receiving a request for them had anything other then that ^ ?

I’m sure they will be mailed sometime this week with them arriving this week or next (that is for people who got accepted).

Thisgirlisag (i like your name hhaha), i’ve had the “forwarded” status for a few weeks now, i dont know what it means, but ya i think we’ll hear soon.

i submitted my midyear grades but my status has never said anything about USC receiving them. It’s been on the forwarded status for at least a month now. I sure hope that another batch of letters are sent soon. It makes sense that another wave would be sent though, since it’s been awhile since the first wave, and I thought that the last week or so of March/first week of April were reserved for rejections.

hello21 - if you check the box for Document Status, you will see a list of all the docs USC has received to date.

jackdaniels – i’m in the same situation as you. I was asked to send in my midyear transcripts and I currently have the same application status as you. I have no idea what this status means!

Do you mind sharing what your stats are?

has anyone NOT sent in midyear report yet? I didn’t because they never asked for one. I just went online and typed it up in the “midyear report” section but thats unofficial…

yeah sure,
i have a 31 ACT (35 english, 33 reading)
12 AP classes, the rest all honors. top 5% of my class of 620 at a semi-competitive public school
debate captain/lots of debate awards/student council/good extracurrics
decent recs/good essays

how about you?

gashergina
they dont want an official one, they only want you to type it up on there

never asked for sending midyear report. never send midyear report. never get FORWARD in status. never get ACT in status

they never asked for my mid-year grades…
but I sent them anyway…

my status is still what it was soon after i submitted the app…

My status says that my application is currently being reviewed by the committee. I was asked to send in mid-year grades “officially” and also did it online.

tornados
did you status ever change to the “we have received your midyear grades” status?

jackdaniels- Come to think of it, yes, I believe it did say that for a day or so, then went back to the currently being reviewed by the committee. I wish I would get the “forwarded” one, as it seems all the people who get that are getting accepted.

It seems like it says the same thing, but just worded differently, ie; “Being reviewed by the committee” and “Forwarded for committee review”. Is there ANOTHER, more important committee it’s going to when they say “forwarded”? I’m confused.

tornados said:
