Does using Common App to apply as a transfer student hurt my chances of admission?

I am looking to transfer next year to Stevens Institute of Technology as a sophomore, and I applied there on the Common App along with 2 other schools. I told my friend who goes there that I applied via Common App and he said, “Dude, you’re screwed. Using the Common App instead of the Stevens application was a big mistake. It shows them that you’re not fully committed, and they base their decisions off of that.” My math score on the SAT was only a 500, so I know my chances are slim already. I applied as a finance major. I also am likely not going to meet my community service requirement for the program I’m in at my current school, since I need to log 100 hours by May 31st and only have 20 right now, which would have been my slim chance of getting in. All of my friends agree that I’m not going to get into Stevens as a result of the Common App. Do you think this is true or am I just being paranoid and they don’t know what they’re talking about? I also applied to Gabelli at Fordham Rose Hill, and my friend who goes there said that using Common App hurt my chances at Fordham too .

Am I really not going to get responses? This is something I am genuinely worried about.

It’s a really specific question. You might be better off asking them on the specific school subforums for the schools you applied to. I’ve never heard of commonapp hurting somebody’s chances of admittance.
