Same as the title. I earned 4 HS credits(Chinese1, Alg1, Chinese2, Geometry) in MS. Will they be counted? They were bad, 3B and 1A.
The GPA on the transcript has calculated them, so will UVa recalculate my GPA?

i hope that they dont count. my HS credit in middle school dragged down my gpa too :( Alg1 B+ and Fr 1 B )

but i dont think that adcoms would care that much about them anyways. high school counts more, esp. like in my case where i pulled my act together once in hs.

I'm sure they count them--whether you took Alg 1 in 8th or 9th grade it still has to be a part of your transcript. At the same time, I'm sure adcoms understand that in many cases, what kids do in 7 or 8th grade is a poor representation of them as students.

Don't worry about it.

as long as they wernt below Cs, don't sweat it

Yeah I pulled off a B in Geometry 8th grade, simply because I failed to realize the big picture. I had no idea what a GPA was!

I also had two A's (Algebra, German I) so I don't think the one B affected my GPA too much, but I'm still kinda interested in whether they disregard MS grades or not..

most kids get Bs in high school courses taken in middle school (especially languages) just because its more work than their used to, and its brand new...just like in most people's first AP/IB class they dont get an A...dont sweat it

okay. thank you. =]

I think that they will include those grades in your GPA.
