Does UW allow sending mid-year report (official/self-reported)

Does UW allow sending the mid-year report (official/self-reported)?

I have very good mid-year grades that really show my upward trend.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue as me?

I just looked on the UW website. It saids that US schools and international schools that follow US-style curriculum don`t require transcripts unless requested. However, schools outside of US that follow a non-US curriculum (ex: national/local curriculum) "Regardless of whether you are applying as a U.S. or international student, if you have attended a school outside of the U.S. that follows a national compulsory curriculum, you are required to upload a scanned, unofficial copy of your transcript for grade levels 9 and higher in the Upload section of the UW questions portion of your online application. The Uploads section will not be available to you until you have started the UW questions.

Do not mail high school transcripts or mid-year school reports to the Office of Admissions."

No. UW does not accept any supplementary materials outside of their online application system, unless they request it.

@AroundHere @whitefox589 Do you guys know if this is the same case for UIUC and USC?

@baduzaa Most public schools do NOT want/ accept your fall semester grades. Most private schools REQUIRE a mid-year report (AKA transcript of first semester grades). Your portal for those schools should show somewhere that they are due as soon as available. You should be able to google “(college name) mid year reports” and find information on each of the schools you applied to and how to submit them.

@justkeepgoing O.k, but from UIUC they seem to have a special case… I’m trying to interpret the following statement

“Don’t send official transcripts at the time of application or after mid-year grades are received.”

Regardless, there is a course change form “I am correcting a course and/or grade I listed in error on my application.”

The problem is I don’t have an error per se:
I had submitted my Quarter 1 grades when I applied to UIUC, but now I want to submit my ‘Quarter 1+2’ grade aka called the ‘Semester Grade’ (which has been a huge improvement for me in my GPA), so technically it could be seen as an error, but maybe not.

Suggestions? Should I just drop the idea?

I have no idea about those two schools since i didn`t apply so the best answer is just look on their website about any transcript stuff or ask others who also applied to same school.

UIUC is also a public college… they do not accept transcripts. You can always call any school’s admissions office and ask if they’ll accept it. But pretty much every public University will not accept transcripts. Any private schools you applied to should be expecting you to submit your transcript as soon as it is ready. Good luck!
