<p>Not at most schools, but there are exceptions, like Penn and Wharton. And you can’t major in law as an undergrad.</p>
<p>Business is not a less common major and law is not a major. At most schools, prospective major means nothing in terms of how hard admissions is. you don’t declare your major until you’ve been at college for a year typically.</p>
<p>It depends. At some universities, you have to apply to a specific college. For example, Syracuse’s journalism college is the most selective in the country.
If you apply as a journalism major, it’s likely you would get rejected and then deffered to the second college of your choice. Some students make the decision to apply to an easier college with hopes to transfer into Newhouse at Syracuse. But it rarely works.</p>
