I want to transfer for neuroscience, a major not offered at my current college, and put it down as the major I wanted for the college I wanted to transfer into.

I did not get into this college the first time, and went into my current college undecided but eventually wanted to declare a major in psychology until I wanted to major in neuroscience.

Does the major matter when applying for transfer? Or just the school in the college you are applying to?

What I mean is that can they look at my Gpa and course load and high school classes and be like “his transcript doesn’t match this major” or will they just look at my Gpa and essays and see if I am a good for the college of arts and sciences?

Can someone please answer this???

Your major does matter! They will look at everything you mentioned though since you are still in your first two years of college. I’m guessing you’re at a 4 year and not a CC so transferring will be a little bit trickier.
