<p>I once had a professor ask the class at the end of the day for cigarettes, I didn't have any because I don't smoke. Has this ever happened to you?</p>
<p>No. I’d instantly have a negative perception of that professor, honestly. </p>
<p>I’ve had a professor ask me for a cigarette a couple of times, but it was the same professor, and it’s one that I’ve talked to a lot. I see her out in one of the smoking areas, and that’s where she asked me. It wasn’t an announcement at the end of class or anything like that. It was more of a “hey, I ran out. Can I bum one off of you and pay you back?” type of deal. </p>
<p>An “end of class announcement” like that would come across as really odd.</p>
