i'm getting confused.. if i get into Rice/Baylor, PLME, HPME and other programs, i can go to the med school of the same university i attended as undergrad right? of course there are conditions like maintaining certain gpa and other stuff..

For those specific programs, yes. Although to be correct, Baylor College of Medicine is not under Rice University, at the moment. Unlike the other programs you mentioned (like Northwestern or Brown), Rice University doesn’t have it’s own medical school.

Not all undergraduate institutions have their own medical school however, so research each Bachelor/MD program carefully.

Example: BU-UMDNJ program where you get your undergraduate at Boston University and your M.D. from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School - [Special Programs - BU 2008-09 Undergraduate Bulletin](http://www.bu.edu/bulletins/und/item14.html#anchor11)

BU also has it’s own Bachelor/MD program for it’s own medical school as well.
