Doing B.A. in violin performance twice

Hello, I was wondering if something like that would be possible at all and not looked upon as strange when later on I would like to apply to master’s in a different institution, or is the audition the only decisive factor? Also after the second Bachelor I would be 27. Is it too late of an age to start a master’s degree in Europe or the US? Thanks!

It would be looked upon as strange because it is strange.

What are you trying to accomplish here? What would a second degree provide that four years of lessons wouldn’t?

Please clarify. Are you asking if getting a masters in performance is OK? If that is what you are asking, it’s fine to do that. Your audition will be the deciding factor for your acceptance to a masters program.

Is that what you want to know?

It doesn’t matter where you did your undergrad. I noted you did a BA in violin performance. Are you wishing you did a BM?

I guess your question is unclear.

The audition will be the most important factor in admission to a master’s program. Age does not matter.

If you are not where you want to be musically in order to get into your target master’s program, you would not get another BA or BM. That would be strange and wasteful financially and time-wise (paying for and sitting in gen ed classes yet again?).

You should look for a private teacher that can assist you in setting goals and getting stronger musically. That would be the normal course of action (a cheaper, more time-efficient way to accomplish your goals). Many students do this between undergrad and grad school.

And yes, the audition is what matters for grad school. A strong teacher can help you with this.
