I took math i, math ii, and chem back in june. I got a 800 math ii, 750 math i and a 680 chem. Im hoping to get into Cornell Engineering so i need a science subject test. My problem is that I took AP chem last year so i got a 680 with everything fresh in my mind but now im going over some stuff and it feels like i forgot everything. I want to take chem again tomorrow to try and improve my score but im concerned I might get worse or even a lot worse. So my question is does it affect a colleges view of me if i do a lot worse the second time taking chem. If its going to hurt me i wont take it tomorrow. Also what does a 680 chem look like, its barely above 50 percentile i think but could this hurt me in the admissions process.

Additional info:
Im not doing chemical engineering
Taking another science subject test is not an option

I had this same problem except with physics – I decided to just not take it because I’m doubting a 500 is going to help me at all, considering that’s the score I would probably get.

I’m having this problem with math II too. It’s all on Precal and I don’t remember all the nit-picky tricks and formulas like I did last summer, so I’m probably going to do worse on my Math II test too.

Well at least im not the only one in this boat. Im going to finish up a practice test now. I think were looking at a drop in over 100 points but well see. I still want to take it because the last thing i want to do is regret it and think later that I should have taken it so does anyone know if it can hurt me at all.

All i seem to get are useless responses here…
lol cal I have a 42% chance of getter better than a 550 on this dumb test.
ill think of a good raper response later

Anyone got an answer

You can take it and if you feel badly about it you can cancel the score…simple
