Any one enrolled in UF’s online program but still chose to live in Gainsville and be on campus/ get involved?
Is it possible to be in the UF online program but still feel included and make friends?
I am contemplating transferring but I would be in the online BS of Business Administration but I am afraid that I’ll transfer and not really feel like a Gator or make friends while I am there…
Please help!
Thank You!!
That’s the same question asked by kids that get into the PaCE program (which is also online only for the first 2 years). See this article.

They are allowing the PaCE folks to pay some student fee’s, which would allow them to join clubs, etc. Contact UF and see if that’s an option that would be offered to online only students.
Thanks for commenting! I know they now allow online only students to pay activity fees so essentially the only difference between you and a traditional student is taking your classes online vs in lecture. However what I’m trying to find out is whether or not online or PACE students actually feel like normal students or if they feel isolated. I would be transferring from a traditional 4 year university and I’m worried that I won’t be able to get acclimated and make friends with other students if I’m alone doing my classes online.
