Doing WORSE on Second round of SATs?

Hi guys,

I took the SAT two times, in Januar and May, but the score on my May SAT was a whole 100 points lower on my second try than on my first? How bad does that look to colleges? I got a 2290 the first time and a 2190 the second. :(

I went down like 80 points my 2nd SAT but then went back up over 100 points over my 1st with my third. Those are some nice scores you have there, anyway. Congrats.

took the same two tests as you did. mine went down nearly 200 points this time. got 2020 on my first round.
i’m also curious, will this look terrible to the schools?

Wondering the same thing…DD took SATs in March and May, and her May scores were down over 100 points. I have read that with many schools superscoring it shouldn’t matter, but would love to hear from additional sources.

Took the same tests as you and my CR improved by 20 pts and Math improved by 70 pts. Writing went down 40 pts, but my overall increased by 50 pts and I reached my goal of breaking 2000. I thought it was a fairly hard test, so I was surprised to see my scores.
