wow. I did worse.

On the March SAT, I received a score of 2200--a decent score, but I wanted a 2250+, especially since I messed up writing (660). So, I retook in June and I dropped 120 points!!!! I did worse in every area. I don't know what happened. Maybe I was just tired... I know I didn't prep as much for the June SAT, but anyways I screwed up.

My question is will selective colleges frown upon my second score? Will they doubt the validity of my first score and maybe see it as a fluke?? Also, should I retake in October? At this point, I'm completely in shock and I don't know what to do.

Thanks everyone in advance!

i know the feeling...its like AHH retake or not!!! well, i would just keep the 2200 because it is decent but where do you want to go? maybe you should retake it

Well, I would like to aim for the ivies, but I felt the 2200 was slightly low. I received 800M, 740CR, and 660W so I thought I could improve my writing to at least a low 700s, that's why I retook. Unfortunately, everything backfired, so now I'm stumped.

1540.. just assume 660W is a sat2 score added with ur math2c and science.. its not that bad.

Yeah, the 2200 is ok, but it's the 2080 that I'm worried about. Will that reflect badly against me? Instead of improving after 3 months, my score dropped! So do you guys think I should retake?

dwerbowy and confidential, thanks for your replies.

The schools only look at the top one unless you take more than 3 right? SO why not retake? You could at least do better than the 2080 to show the 2200 wasn't a fluke right?
