I think it will help to a certain extent, but they still want to remain selective even with minorities, so it's hard to say. I think a URM with that SAT has a better than average shot though. You don't have to respond to this, but consider whether or not your GPA and rank are high. Strong EC's? And I'm talking more than being in a few school clubs and volunteering at the local animal shelter. If you're strong in those areas, it's probably only a slight reach for you. Good luck!

I feel like I am somewhat the leader of this group and therefore I feel obligated to bring this thread up from the depths of cc

How's everyone's senior year going? stressful as hell for me

Where is everyone on the application? Im done. Just waiting

Anyone take the SAT this last Saturday? I did... it was rough

hey tim! senior year=absolutely ridiculous. i feel like i'm bipolar: i hate school, i love school, i can't wait to leave, i'm terrified of college. but it's still great.

i'm not really focusing on my ND app right now since i have to get my common app in by Nov. 1 for a scholarship deal, and i've got a long way to go on both of them. the essays are killing me...

the SAT this weekend just wasn't fun at all (like they ever are) but it's nice to think that i never have to take it again. do you know when we can get our scores online?

Hey Tim. I haven't been able to check this board very frequently. Dancing, I completely understand. One moment, I love high school. The next, the stress of school, sports, StuGo, and clubs is about to drive me up the wall and I can't wait to leave. One moment I cannot wait for college, the next I am terrified of where I am getting in and if I would do good.

Likewise, college apps are sort of sitting on the backburner for me. I just have so many other things to think about. I do have to do my safety school application first as it is due November 1st for scholarship consideration.

Hey guys.

Totally feel your pains. I'm totally done with my Notre Dame application, which was my first priority. Now, Im just focusing on football, school, and my standardized tests. I really just want to find out where I'll be next year... and Im not sure if I want the rest of the year to go by really slowly are crazy fast.
.

I hope you get in...I'm here after knowing next to nothing about Notre Dame prior to applying. One of my friends in high school had been a Notre Dame fan his entire life (his handle for computer stuff was always michaelNDIrish). He wasn't able to attend for financial reasons, but would have been in the HP if he had gone here. It sucks that not everyone who deserves this school gets it, but I wish you luck.

yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my 1400!!!!

Thats been my goal on the SAT forever... and I achieved it!

Got my results for the oct sat

m-710
cr- 690
w-710

I know it might not be that great of a score for some of you guys but standardized tests just are not my thing....

Congrats Tim! That's really exciting.
ACT this weekend......praying that I get at least a 31 (low compared to you guys, but standardized testing is the bane of my life). Good luck to those taking them this Saturday as well. Let the luck of the Irish be with you!
The SAT's are coming up as well, hopefully to get into the upper 1300's/lower 1400's for that.

congrats TIm!!!!! that's awesome! mine still aren't up...not surprising considering my luck with life this week.

ya ive got acts this sat too.

standardized tests are a lot harder when you dont get home from a friday night football game till like 1 AM. fball players should get an extra like 40 points.hahah

Haha. Friday Football Games and Saturday Morning Tests. Story of my Life. It's even worse when you lose the night before...
However, our football game was cancelled this week due to the fires :| I'm still waiting on my ACT test center to be rescheduled though.

I joined your group on facebook tim :)

took the acts this morning...

wouldnt just be great if they accepted the people on how MUCH they wanted to go to ND.

haah seriously

how'd you think they went?

I will still somewhat asleep through english and math...

didn't do well at all

the science was absolutely HORRIBLE. hated every bit of it, and i want to be a science major.

does ND superscore the SAT????? because i just got my scores back and i'm liking them very much... and do they even look at the writing and consider it if we did a good job because i got a great score and i'd be mad if they just didn't look at it!

AND (just thought i'd share) the two public schools in my district are combining so it was the last football game ever between them today and my school WONNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the two high schools i mean. that was really unclear.

GO PANTHERS 6-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ACT I think went well for me. I am feeling pretty confident about that 31 I was hoping to get. I messed up one question on math I had no business missing, we'll see if that comes into play. I agree, the science was a bit ridiculous this time. And yes, I do believe ND superscores the SAT.

Tim-That sucks dude, I feel bad for ya w/ playing football the night before. There's always December, and u did do awesome on the SAT's so it should be ok.

ACTs...
science SUCKED;
math was harder than last time, so good thing they subscore?

i liked the english & reading :)
